Selling Hero at Best Buy

Has anyone here sold their Hero at Best Buy? According to their website, I can get about $100 for mine since it's in pretty good shape. I want to use the $100 gift card towards an Evo.

Has anyone done this? Any tips?

No.
Though I did go to BestBuys website and for some reason it told me mine was worthless. It's the newest one out. HERO200

Yes its easy, mine was worth $133. Just bring everything your phone came with, and your reciept. Take it to the Geek Squad desk, and they will give you a giftcard

Am I right to assume this only works if you bought it from Best Buy?

I don't think so. I tried it awhile back and it offered me 125.00. But now it offers nothing for the HERO200.

Kelmar, If you are saying that the phone has to be purchased from BB how would the website trade-in estimator know where you purchased the phone?
It only ask for the service provider and phone model.

Online Trade In

Looks like you are right, you CAN do this (but only online) if you purchased it elsewhere. You mail in the phone and they ship you a giftcard 14 days later.

In-store is for if you purchased it at BB only. You get cash or gift card when you go to trade in your phone at BB B&M.
