Root Selling my phone: unroot or RUU

I would like to bring to DHD to near stock ready to be sold, however, I still need it to be network unlocked. Would running a unbranded RUU be ok, or would I need to use the AAHK to properly unroot it?

It looks like selling it to one of them online trade in sites might be the best option. THey said they'd buy it as long as it's running original software (and they check it too)

Would the RUU still be the best option, or would an unroot be safer (in case they don't like the unlocked bootloader or something) ?

edit: (might be worth a new thread) the volume down button doesn't work properly. Any idea if theres a quick/cheap fix for this? YOu have to really press hard (often with a pen after removing the rocker) for the pres to register...

yes,ruu is still the best option. locked,or unlocked,s on or off shouldnt matter, the phone wont function any differently either way when its running the stock software.

not sure on your vol button... could be a physical issue with the button itself(ive seen the button for sale) or it could be some other hardware/board issue.

search ebay for a new rocker... id pop one of those in and see what happens :)

I sold the wife's Wildfire S on Ebay - was running cutom ROM and was rooted. Put it all in the ad and the buyer was happy. I understand if some of the online sites want unrooted and stock but if you're selling privately just make sure you're honest.
