Selling phone tomorrow.

First of all I know this is not root related but don't know where to ask.

Ill be selling my metro GS3 tomorrow to get into the WP world with a Lumia 925.I had sold other phones before and ha e never had to have disconnected in order to sell them.I hear that with metro they do need to disconnected.Can any of you guys shed some light here?Also do I hqve to talk to a rep or can I just dial *228 and just use the automated service.

if you are porting your # over you'll need to have it active still. Other than that you can just let it run out unless the WP phone is with metro then they'll just switch it over for ya.

It depends. If your new phone is going to be on your same Metro number, you won't have to do anything. If not, you will have to cancel the line the GS3 is on in order for the buyer to use it on Metro.

I don't know if you have to speak to a rep to cancel the line, but that's the way I'd bet.
