Send contact number by SMS

It's been asked before but never answered as far as I can see...


I want to send Contact A's phone number (and only the phone number, not the whole contact) to Contact B by SMS.


If I go into People and press menu-> more->Send Contact, the hero attached a Vcard to an MMS. Which I don't want. Just the number.
What's more, Vcard sending doesn't even work when sending to another Hero let alone to another type of phone.


Any tips? Handcent doesn't appear to do this either.

I don't know if there's a proper way to do it but, you could always copy and paste the number from the contact into a text. Go to People >> Long press the contact and pick edit >> copy the no. and paste into a text.

You can select which contact info to send.
It can also receive contacts sent via SMS.
