Help 'Send Text To ...' Voice Command Not Working

Newbie
Hi,
In my Samsung Galaxy S2, the voice command 'Send Text To [contact] [Message]' takes me to google search page instead of executing the message action. :(

I've tried clearing app data for 'voice search' app. But it's the same.

Please do help to fix this issue, or send me on the right track to achieve it.

Hi i've had the same issue and found that changing the voice recognition setting to English (US) helps. Now it at least opens up the text box with the right contact already selected even if it doesnt enter the message.

Don't have any problem with it, all my voice commands works perfectly (considering that my accent is far away from British or American English). Check settings in the voice recognition. I think on the phone there are 2 different voice recognition "Voice command and Voice Talk" in them there are settings to fix and once it is all set they work perfectly writes mails, call people, writes messages and etc. From time to time misspells a word but that is not an issue.

I am having the same problem now, since I have disabled Google Voice. So that is probably where the problem lies. It was working great when Voice was controlling my cell #, my voice mails, screening my calls, and transcribing my entire life for everyone to see on my google account.

Once I disabled that... voice actions are not working for contacts. Blows.

I shared all my contacts with my google mail account as well just to see if that worked, and it didn't help.

Language is set to English, and search is set to include contacts.

This appears to be a major flaw :(
