Root Sending phone back to Verizon...Can you help me un-root

Hey guys,

I have to return my phone back to verizon for a factory replacement and I wanted to de-root my phone. I am on the most uptodate version 4..5.596, I upgraded with the rooted deodexed files.

Please guide me getting back to stock. Do I just run Z4root and choose unroot? I thought I read that that doesn't work with gingerbread.

Thanks,

Why return it?

Do I SBF the 2.3.340 version and do the upgrades or is there an SBF for the most current version???

I am returning because I am having a issue with my screen. The bottom 1/3 of the screen has started flickering and the phone has become useless.

THanks,

So I have DL'd the SBF file above and unzipped using 7Zip. When I go to RSD lite and search for the file, I can locate it, however the "Start" button stays transparent. I can not start the SBF process. Also, it locates my device, however the MEID # doesn't show up.

Any idea what I could be doing wrong?

EDIT: I fixed it by moving the file from my desktop to the C: Drive. After that it was smooth sailing.

Thanks everyone for the help.

I'd also format my SD card before sending in since there may be misc. folders that are related to root only apps (clockwork mod for example).
