Sensation's Battery Temperature

I got my HTC Sensation and had a look at the permissible temperature of the battery: 40C/104F

For the Desire HD, HTC has 60C/140F allowed.

Why this drop with the Sensation?

EDIT: Did you know that before you ordered?
With a navigation app in a car, you could easily reach that battery temperature.

After some experience with the Sensation, I think it is ambient temperature what HTC meant in its new security guideline
