Are we going to be able to get 2.1 with sense on the Droid?

Just announced at mwc and looks super nice!

I could be wrong, but unless HTC decides to sell it as a package for other Android phones, you would need to buy an HTC phone to get it.

I could be wrong, but as a rom could be a option, we only need to wait for a 2.1 device to come out with sense ui but I'm not sure

I would love to see sense running on my Droid. I loved sense on my Eris. I can't see the Droid developers stooping to that level, though.

The dev of Beautiful Widgets was served a Cease & Desist order when his widget emulated the senseUI. I'm sure HTC would have plenty to say about a ROM that contained their code as well.

I think HTC would make a butt-load of money if they sold it as a home replacement in the market. But of course, we are dealing with the company that took an app off the market because it looked the same as their non-trademarked ideas. Don't think it's going to happen, but I hope it does.

As soon as a system dump of the Sense 2.1 is released the devs will be sure to port it to the droid. It'll be a ROM of course.
