Sense 3.0 Now available for Telus DHD

Applied this update today... phone now slows and reboots every 5-10 minutes. Rebooted twice in the middle of a call to Telus support. NOT IMPRESSED. Where's the f'n UNDO button???

I have an update. My wife now can't end calls, and it says phone is not responding, force close.
Going to try a factory reset.

Its been a day since the factory reset and everything is still working fine. Haven't really noticed a change in battery life either. Not sure if it was just a fluke screw up or if everyone is going to have problems with this update or not. All I can say is be prepared to do a factory reset if you do update.

Hey just wondering how you do a factory reset exactly? Also, what data will I lose (if any). I don't want to have to resync everything, download apps, and reinstall music onto the SD card.... I feel so tech stupid asking this....

I install Sense 3 two days ago in my HTC DHD, everything works good so far.
It give "screen capture" ability to my cell by holding down the power button and touch the home icon (at the left most side in the bottom) at the same time. Captured screen image will be stored and viewed in Gallery.

Have a nice day !

To do factory reset you go to settings/storage and select factory reset.

Your phone numbers should be backed up to google automatically so you shouldn't lose those. There is an option to also erase sd card but you don't have to. If you don't erase sd card all your music and pictures will still be there. On my wifes phone after the factory reset I had to reinstall all apps(you won't have to pay for the apps you have already purchased again), set up email and facebook, and I also had to back up text messages before the factory reset and restore them after.

Just updated this evening, everything seems to have gone fine. I just have a couple of problems.

1. When the phone powers up, it plays a jingle now... Can I turn it off?
2. When I'm texting, I used to be able to hit the 123# button, go to the 3rd page and have :), :(, :P, ;), :o.. Now I have <<, >>, :), :(, :o... Any way to get :P back in there? I have no use for >> or << and use :P all the time.
3. Also, I've noticed for a week or two now, my weather/clock widget doesn't do weather quite right now. Whenever I open it it says "Unable to contact location service for accurate balh blah blah..."

Not just because I live in Vancouver, I'd like to register a complaint about the new weather display that comes with 2.3.5, so they'll change it for the next release. Where would I do that so it will get read by people who change those things?

I LOVED the windshield wipers on the old version, showed it to all my iPhone user friends. I HATE the current display because 1) I can't read it - tiny white characters on a light blue screen, and 2) where's the five day forecast?

I understand where you're coming from. But to find the five day forecast, there is a button in the top right corner (it looks like a rectangle with four arrows around it) which shrinks the weather picture and brings up hourly, forecasted and five day forecast. Hopefully this helps ease the pain of the new app.

As for filing a complaint, I would think your best option would be to email HTC themselves. I know that you can email them and they usually respond within a week or so. Whether this will make a change for the next update, I can't be sure, but it's worth a shot!

How is everyone doing with the 3.0 Sense?

I've personally had the update for around 2 months. And so far there's been no issue with battery or not being able to use things, etc. The only issue I've run into, is the phone sometimes not turning the screen on when I press power; just the bottom buttons light up. Otherwise, flawless.

It's faster, cleaner looking, and just overall better in my opinion.
