Root Sense Analog Clock Widget Random bug

my specs:
samsung Prevail: rooted
MOD: CTMOD 3.6
Kernel: koumaKernel 2.5
Partitioned: yes
Swap:yes -0

Problem: the app, Sense Analog Clock Widget
At random, atleast it looks that way, i might change something.. or after a update of another app..ill reboot, and the App RESETS itself to default settings...means, i have to go back there and click the settings to show info,battery..etc..time zone, tap settings..all this all over again.

Are there any other widgets/apps affected and/or do They themselves suffer the same fate?: NO

I can set it up just right, and usually not have this problem for a while, but its random..so i dont know...

Could it be a developer problem, an app bug?
could it be the MOD (doubt it)
could it be the Launcher, "Sony Xperia" (who knows- need more subjects)

any one else have this same issue?

no haven't had that problem but i have used titanium to make apps system apps and then that has fixed some problems. or just uninstall and reinstall, make sure to wipe data though first.

to maybe fix timezone at least....

persist.sys.timezone=America/Los_Angeles

that's mine any ways. some times Pacific time is -7 and others -8 and this force proper timezone so it don't matter if 7 or 8 and time stays correct even if reboot in airplane mode or no service to get time from.

before I add that line to build.prop I'd be mountain time every time I rebooted. maybe your reset problem is cuz your phone resets it when it gotta find your zone again

I have this same problem using Sense Analog Clock on my Samsung galaxy 2 Fascinate. During any of my frequent battery-out restarts (of my terribly designed Samsung) the widget fails to start back up. When I go into widgets to manually restart it, I get a dialog box stating the widget has stopped functioning and choose 'Force close' or Cancel. When I do get it restarted, all of my settings are lost, all back to default.

Have you found a similar Time display widget that is rock solid?

I haven't used this app, but is there any chance that you can save your settings as default settings? That could help, unless it still changes "default" settings back to original default settings.

This widget has no option to 'set my settings as default'.

The last two days I have fought with the Sense Analog Clock (SAC). It may be the cause of my phone crashing.

When my Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate just froze, the SAC was not visible once restarted. When I attempted to add the widget/re enable it, I get the same old dialog box stating 'The widget has become unresponsive, [Force Close] or [Cancel]. I selected force closed then attempted to restart it, same error. After 3-4 attempts and clearing memory it finally restarted.

now im using SSM mode on my galaxy prevail, it seems to hold steady... i even have it on my Asus TF300, works good too..
