Sense question by new user

sense is an Overlay on top of standard android OS.

It basically adds a few applications and widgets that don't come stock with android.

You could say it "polishes" the UI of the phone. People seem to really like it but it can also cause delays in OS upgrades in order to make sure sense and Android play nice.

You can look at a review of the Nexus 1 and a review of the incredible on youtube and notice how the screens look different. The OS is the same, the difference you see is sense
