I really like some of the UI's I have seen for other android phones (sense) and was wondering how to get them on my droid.
Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.
Note: This feature may not be available in some browsers.
I loved the SenseUI at first, but it's not REALLY necessary. Beautiful Widgets gives the nice clock / weather home screen, and with App Organizer you can fit all your apps cleanly on your 3 home screens, leaving plenty of room for widgets without bloating or crowding any of the screens (and thus giving your background wallpaper a chance to get noticed)
My home screens consist of:
Left: Pandora Widget up top, 4 apps along the bottom (App Organizer "All Folders", Camera, Gallery, Settings)
Mid: Beautiful Widgets Home, 4 apps along the bottom (Phone, Visual VM, Browser, Market)
Right: Pure Calendar Agenda, 4 apps along the bottom (Gmail, Maps, DocumentsToGo Recently Used, App Organizer "Starred Apps")
I'm not sure what I would do with 7 screens...
I have a UI related question.
I'm still using the stock home screens, is there a way to remove the spring effect when I switch between the screens? Or would this be handled with a different home screen app?
Thanks.

Youre crazy... On my hero I had widgets on all of my screens. Besides the significant number of valuable widgets that Htc has available vs the few weak android widgets... it adds multitouch to all of the mains an amazing music player and amazing music control on the lockscreen. Those are huge adds to Moto/google's fail.
If your wanting something similar to HTC sense add the pure widgets( messages and calender) both are paid apps but are awesome. Dam I am loving this phone![]()

Sense is gonna be hard to port because it runs on a much lower resolution then the DROID so all the images need to be re-sized. You can get pretty much all the same widgets that it has though, most of them are free but a couple are paid. The major upside is that with a stock version of Android we will get updates WAY quicker then people with UI overlays like Sense. Look how long they have been stuck with old 1.5, heck the G1 has had 1.6 for a few months now and that is the first Android phone. They are just talking about building Sense onto Android 2.0 now, but since Sprint won't be doing a OTA update a lot of people won't ever get it. I don't know how VZW is handling the Eris but I hope they do OTA.
The only thing your gonna miss out on with Sense is the extra integration it adds to the Dialer/Contacts and multi touch, but Loccy is working on updating his Better Browser to the DROID/Android 2.0 and it is the BEST browser for Android hands down. It isn't a new app, it is a modified version of the stock browser and it add's multi touch and soooo much more. Also if someone wants a nice lockscreen then do a search for "Flyscreen" in the market, it totally blows away the lame Sense lockscreen.
what if my pennies wont fit in my phones micro usb port?
