Sense vs Launcher Pro

I had launcher pro installed as soon as I got my Rezound but after a reboot loop issue for a few days I went back to sense to see if the rebooting would stop and I kinda like it better. Tech support recommended I stay with sense to see what happens. Anyone else using sense?

yes. A lot of us are. I tried ADW for a minute but it was laggy. I do know now though that there are some things you can tweak in ADW to fix the lag.

My thing is this is my first Sense experiment and i always like to give stock a good test run before i start trying other launchers. So far i'm really liking sense.

Veering off the subject slightly, I've been using GO Launcher and find no lag at all compared to Sense. I can't scientifically back up this statement, but I could swear my phone ran a tad faster after GO Launcher was installed.

FYI - I just made a similar inquiry on another board. The developer for Launcher Pro is no longer working on it, so if your's still works (mine is very buggy) you can use it but there won't be any more improvements made to it. I'm guessing that ICS will seal its fate. It's really too bad because I loved LP on my DInc and couldn't wait to put it on my Rezound when it arrives on Thursday.

It's nice to know that Sense is out-performing LP. I'll definitely have to play with it for a while before I judge. Right now I have Go Launcher running on my DInc and I really love the functionality, but it causes major lag. I'm not sure how it will perform on the Rezound, but if I love Sense I'll just stick with that.

Sad to here. LP is my fave.

Sense is actually hardware accelerated.

I think it becomes very noticeable on the new dual core models myself.

Are you sure? I thought hardware acceleration wasn't coming until ICS , with limited apps taking advantage of it in HoneyComb.

Jeepers, if Sense UI is hardware accelerated on the Rezound, I would hate to see it not. Sense on the Flyer is smoother. Only "600p", but also just the single core version of the S3.

3.5 seems really heavy compared to Sense on the Flyer. Flyer is butter smooth, but not so much on the Rezound. If accelerated, that could mean Sense would be herky jerky without it. Seems too heavy to be worth it. As mentioned, even the demo unit was far more zippy with LP rather than Sense, but could just be a fluke with the units I tested (demo and VZW friend).

Rezound IMO rocks more, without Sense.
