ok sent my lg g4 in for repair, works now.... but i want to revert back to 5.1, they installed 6.0 and it is no good causes issues. i have a t mobile lg g4; will i be able to do it and still get the firmware update that came with 5.1 for the touch screen issues?

well i beg to differ and i think i could just wondering how to do it and if i would have the firmware update available too

You can probably flash an older firmware if you have the files, but it's trickier than rooting. I have no experience with LG devices though. You can do this on Samsungs so I suppose the same could be for LG.

Flashing different firmware versions on an LG handset is actually very easy. You need something called a kdz file, which you should be able to get here: http://devtester.ro/projects/lg-firmwares/

You also need something called LGUP, which you can download here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/lgup-install-kdz-mm-lp-t3249803

However, it would seem LG/T-Mobile have implemented something called Anti Rollback on the G4, meaning you can't go back to earlier software versions unless it's done in a very specific way - http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/psa-warning-try-to-downgrade-g4-t3197675

If your current firmware version is 20i, you can only go back to firmware version 10n, but you'd need to read through the xda thread in its entirety to be doubly sure.
