Help sent/received folder

I have a motorola droid turbo.When I am in my messaging app, when I go to add an image, it has all of the sent/received images in a folder. Is there any way to get rid of this folder? The only time I see it is in my messaging, but when I delete a conversation it shows error photos as missing and it is very annoying. Any ideas?

I have the same problem. I would like to know how to either delete the images in the sent/received folder, or the entire folder. These photos have been deleted from my regular gallery, but still show up in the sent/received folder. Can someone please help?
