Separate Volumes for Ringtones & Notifications?

OrbitzXT

Lurker
I have a Droid Charge and the speaker on it isn't that amazing. To hear the ringtone well, I'd like to keep the volume up. But the text sounds are rather loud and annoying in my office and I want to keep that volume down. Is there a way to separate the master "Ringer Volume"?

I use AudioManager. The free version is pretty good at controlling all of your phone volumes and the paid version allows you to set profiles for when you want certain volumes to be set during the day. You can check the related apps and see what the competitors are offering.

You should just be able to go to Menu > Settings > Sound > Volume and uncheck use incoming call volume for notifications.
