Serious Android Problem ! HELP PLZ! D:

I just got my samsung galaxy s2 and i wanted to root it..... i followed the instructions up till the point where it flashes with odin with an insecure kernel.... then my device just stucks at the samsung boot screen.... I TRIED booting into recovery mode ( press vol up + home+ power) BUT ITS NO USE im still stuck at the boot screen !! HELP ! im panicking right now!!! i wanna cry!!!! why ?!
 
Can you boot into download mode? Vol down+ home + power?
If so try flashing it again following the odin instructions to the letter making sure you have exactly the same boxes ticked

Go youtube and try to find a video showing how to do it.

The trick is that you have to release, iirc, the power button after about 4 secs. The thing is that if you hold it for a sec too long, it 'selects' the first option on the download mode menu, which is reboot.
