I think it's quite conclusive that my Galaxy Note causes a serious power drain simply when wifi is turned on. I have collected many graphs like this:
From my observation, this has nothing to do with power consumed in actual data transmission. If it is it will even be more shocking. It seems the mere act of switching on wifi will cause a significant battery drain.
I upgraded to 2.3.6 and the result was the same.
If I switch off wifi, with light use, I have more 50% left at the 24-hour mark. If I switch on wifi, I am left with 20% after about 14 hours! Before my discovery of this problem I wrongly thought the Note had a lousy battery.
Is this just my phone or the Note in general?
