Help service provider disabled my data

I do not have data included in my phone plan, but I purchased the s3 off of a family member about a year ago. I am always in a location with Wi-Fi so I don't really need data on my phone anyways. I used to be able to send photos and group text messages if I left the data on and I was never charged for using it to do this. I changed my cell phone plan and now it appears that Rogers has disabled data on my phone. Even when I have it turned on it isn't on? Is there a way that I can get it back without adding data to my plan?

Hi there and welcome to the forums!

To be clear, you were able to send messages and other items over cell data before the plan change, but now you can't use cellular data?

Correct. I was sending photos just fine as long as I had checked the data on, until my plan changed. An alert came on after and I was in a hurry so I didn't read it fully. It had mentioned data though. Since then my photos won't send and I am unable to receive any.

If the carrier have changed their policies or something along those lines, or the way your account is provisioned, it's likely impossible to go back to the old way you had things. Sorry!

As long as u use wireliss, why don't u send the photos via Gmail or whatever email ur using...works better that way anyway.
