Service Providers in NZ

Patience please - I'm an aged newbie in NEW ZEALAND!
I've just "inherited" a U8150-D which was used by my grandson in Auckland using 2degrees. I gather that their coverage is not too good up here where I live - Kerikeri, Bay of Islands.
Is there anybody with experience can suggest my best provider?

Hi rufus2, I see you've had a lot of views but no advice, I reside in Wellington and use 2Degrees.
The only alternative is Vodafone, which means purchasing a SIM card and installing it. It should be pretty automatic from there.

I find 2Degrees very good and the phone works in Aussie without any problems.
When we land in Brisbane, it finds Telstra and up in Mooloolaba area it locates Vodafone or another Aussie provider.

Have a look in 2Degrees web site for their NZ coverage zones. You'll always strike dead spots in NZ because of the Topography. Best of luck. Neil.
