Service Sheet App??

I was wondering if this group could help me out. I am looking for an app that will let me fill out service sheets out in the field, let the customer sign it and then be able to email a copy of the service sheet to the customer. I have a form that I am already using, if I could load that into the app, use a stylus or something and write on it like paper, let the customer sign it and then email a copy, in pdf, to them later. I have the new Asus Prime tablet and have a small business cleaning aquariums. I have searched the market and not finding what I need. I found one app, called fieldone mobile that sounded promising, but it wanted some info in the startup screen that I had no idea was. Like I said, its a small business ran out of my home, so I don't have an IT dept or anyone that has set up a network. Just the wireless in my home. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I can't help you with finding the app you need, but this sounds like a perfect challenge for a good developer. I used to work in field service and could have used just such an app. I would think even corporations might be interested in something like this.

Best of luck in your search.

I could really do with a app like that for my field work (but with a few edits for my work) but my technophobic boss's wont go for it (even if it will spped up time and reduce errors.

I had a boss like that, AJB2K3. Some people fear what they don't understand. He was a nice guy and wanted the best for the business, but was scared to death of advanced tech.

We ended up with new phones with email based dispatching and the old press-to-talk function. At the time (many years ago!) it was very cool for us techs....it could have been better, but it was a start in the right direction.

I can't believe no one knows of an app like this. I figured it would be out there already. I found one, mobilebiz, that is pretty good at the billing side. Will even let you have the customer sign the invoice. But unfortunately it looks like an invoice, and not a service sheet. I may use it as my billing side, but I really like to take my tablet out in the field, have my service sheet there with me, and have the client sign it after I fill in the fields. Oh well, I'll keep looking.

There just doesn't seem to be many business oriented apps out there for android. I would think a dev, familiar with business, would jump at this. It could be lucrative if a corp picked up on it.

Then again, being hired as a custom developer at a company could be a money-maker too.

I sure wish someone would look into this, though. Lots of small business guys would love it.

You can now configure Mobilebiz to produce an "Order" which can be headed with your service sheet details and all your checklist can be in its own category. Makes a good servioce sheet that matches the following invoice.
