Set default messaging app on a per user basis.

I actually quite like the stock SMS app, but I digress.

My brother has moved to Canada, so it is much cheaper to use WhatsApp to talk to him. But is there any way to set WhatsApp as default for only this contact and leave everything else to use the default app?

whats app is a data app that only uses the phone number as your ID it wont conflict with the SMS app

I know, but when if I go into my conatcts I want be able to WA by swiping the contact to the left. However, if I set this as the default action this contact, it sets WA as the default messaging app for all contacts.

Ideally I want to be able to swipe all contacts, and have the messaging app open, but swipe this one contact and have WA open.

If it is not possible I will continue use WA seperately, but I would rather just be able to use my entire conatcts list for everything.

correct you cant use the swipe but in your contacts anyone with the whats app logo beside them you can tap that and it will open whats app if your want to always start in the contact list but its just as fast to open whats app first
