Set Number of Rings for Message

Text message notification, one ring only, not enough, need it to ring maybe ten times before I hear it if my phone is in the kitchen and I am in the garage. Same thing for calendar alarm notification, need more rings, if I am not currently by my phone. Anybody know how? Thinking maybe if I root my phone? Thanks fella andyroidz.

ooh, just found my original post and your answer. gawd i'm slow. thanks for the answer. i'll take a look at GoSMS. my calendar, just the stock one, i think. doesn't show up in list of apps. don't know how to tell what calendar it is, or if it can be downloaded from the play store.
