Root SetCPU issue

ok, so...i have my phone overclocked to 1.3...and that gives me some problems..minor ones...but they are bothersome...now..the problem i am having with setcpu is that if i try to change it down to 1.2..the phone freezes and i have to reboot it..and it goes back to 1.3...i cannot for the life of me figure out how to change it down to 1.2...i've tried every overclocking app on the market, and a few that are not on the market.....basically..i need the stock file that set's the cpu clock speeds...and i can't figure out how to find that or anything......so...Help?
 
Have you tried No-frills CPU? I use it and have no problems on 1.2 setting (or 1.3 for that matter)

It's been the best one I've come across, also very light on the memory (only 240kb)
 
Try uninstalling the app.. And any other overclocking app for that matter.

I think k0nane said to not boost it past 1200..
