Root SetCPU underclocks but are there any apps that will overclock out there?

I heard you needed a customer kernal to overclock the MoPho. Is it still true or are there any apps out there?
 
correct you will need a custom kerenl. the volatage tables and frequency tables only have so much info in them. so if you wish to go higher you iwll need to use my kernel
