i installed setcpu on my samsung vibrant after i rooted it. i decided to do that because my battery only lasted 4 hours. the phone got incredibly slow after i installed and opened the app. now I uninstalled it, and the phone still seems to be slow. can setcpu cause permanent damage to the phone?

setcput won't actually make any changes unless you tell it to. the most "opening" it will do would just be to autodetect your current clock settings.

that said, 4 hours isn't right. you've got a bug in something, or you're running gps constantly.

i did attempt to play around wit it a bit. although i couldnt figure out how it actually works, so i uninstalled it. is there a chance it may have permentantly changed my cpu settings?
