Help setting changes that don't stick

I am trying to figure out why when I change certain settings on my Stratosphere, they don't stay. For example, I've tried to change the screen timeout setting from 15 seconds to 1 minute. I am able to change it in settings and it will stay that way while I am using the phone, but then if I set aside the phone and pick it up an hour later, it has reverted back to 15 seconds.

I have had a similar issue trying to get it to not notify me in the notification panel every time I get an email. The setting stays for a little while and then it reverts back to notifying me about every email. I don't understand the point of changing settings if I have to re-set them every time I pick up the phone.

If anyone has thoughts on this that would be great.

I know you're going to hate hearing this, but have you tried doing a factory reset to see if that fixes your problem? I know if you've had the phone for even a day, doing a factory reset is a pain, but it could fix your problem. if anyone else replies with a fix though, I would try their's before mine.

No I haven't, so thanks for the suggestion. I guess I may wait and see if there are any other ideas before I try that...
