I have a new Galaxy Ace and I have a very low Internet allowance on my current tarriff. I am concerned that my phone or one of my apps will access the Internet on a 3G or 2G connection without my knowledge and run up connection costs, so a few questions.
1. Will the phone always use my Wifi connection, which is free, if it is switched on and connected?
2. Are there any settings on the phone that will warn me when the phone or one of my apps is about to access the Internet other than with my Wifi connection?
3. Are there any apps that will do the same thing?
4. Is there a way to check on the Android Market whether or not an app needs or will use an internet connection? Currently I am only downloading apps that state "no ads" in the description as that appears to be the only clue.
I cannot upgrade my tarriff until the end of January, but even then I would like to have somne control.
Any help would be appreciated.
