setting up a personal voice message

Every carrier does it differently. You should get a voice prompt when you call your voicemail, but if you don't, or you can't figure out what to do, call Vodaphone.

I've never used Voda, but as Rukbat says you call the voicemail number, then follow the menu of options.

If you are on Pay as You Go you may not have the option of setting a personalised voicemail message - some (though not all) networks reserve that for contract customers.
