This is very irritating. How can you stop the screen from going black after you make or receive a call?

If I read your question correctly, you want to stop the screen turning off during a call. I don't think there's a setting for this on the phone itself, but Screebl Lite should do what you want - Screebl Lite v1.8.7 Application for Android | Tools
