Help settings phone

-i downloaded kies and used it to upgrade phone software. then i tried some apps from the store, used "get app", it showed that the app was downloaded, but i dont see the app on my phone. phone was still connected pc.

-are phone software and android the same software?

-about the opening animation. if i root the phone, can i just remove the sound, while using the same opening animation?

-how do i rearrange applications i put in folders?

-i have a poor connection to the wireless router with wifi. how can i change that? can i change the range of the router to get a better connection?

-how can i search for applications? there are so many android app sites, and to search each of them for some apps is too inconvenient

Your settings may prevent you from downloading stuff from elsewhere other than from the Market. You would need to turn on wi-fi to get apps from the Market. You can do it directly from your phone or from your desktop/laptop via https://market.android.com/?hl=en. Search function exists in both modes.

To rearrange icons on the Home screen, just press the icon and hold it down then move it to your desired position; you can also move it to another page if there's sufficient space (move the icon to the edge).

To rearrange the icons in Applications mode, press the menu soft key on the extreme lower left hand corner, and click onto the Edit function. You'll see a little minus sign onto each of the icons. Perform similar method as in Home screen.

You should download and read the user manual (about 160 pages) from Samsung website.
