Help several issues

Had to revert to my old wildfire S, as One X getting wifi&3G reception fixed, and having a few minor issues:
1. Google Talk - don't use but fails to authenticate, and as it won't can't access app t disable it! Keep getting error notification.
2. Downloads - got some pdfs from email, but not viewed in Downloads app?
3. Handset has been removed from Google Play.
4. Can't get apps (file manager), error code:RFC:S-5AEC-0
4. Due to 2,3&4 can't search for files!

Any ideas?

Hello smurph1. May I offer the old, boring, tried and true remedy for many such issues? Cache and data clearing of everything you can touch in Application Manager. This will mean of course reconfiguring all those apps/widgets.

And, if the above doesn't take care of things, the big, angst generating remedy: factory data reset.

Back up your pics and other goodies first, of course.

Didn't get time to report back before....but did reset and fixed, was trying to get away without, due to all the hassle it involves!
