SF Bay Area, I have not seen the LTE icon yet.

First, I'm assuming that if I am receiving LTE coverage, I should see an LTE icon in the notification bar. Correct me if that's wrong.

I just activated yesterday, but so far I have not seen the icon for LTE service. I don't know if this is a MetroPCS coverage issue or an issue with my cell.

I've had the phone in San Francisco, and a bit in Daly City.

Are those in San Francisco getting LTE coverage on this phone?

I'm in San Jose, and I definitely receive LTE signal.

The phone never says "LTE", the icon says "4G". If you're outside of an LTE signal, it should pick up the standard CDMA signal and show either "Ev" or "1x" depending on the coverage area/data mode.

update your roaming list. If that does not help call metro. I think this topic was covered already. they need to reset your phone.

Most cases,

4G Phones that are activated through *228 require a live agent to activate your phone. They require the ICC ID number located on the plastic that the sim card came from, or off the box. This number is the 4G SIM serial. The automated *228 activation service cannot activate 4G phones. Simply call and say you are not receiving a 4G signal, and you would like to double check if your ICC ID is activated.

How do can we tell if we have lte activated? I show 4g and i can text and be on a call at the same time, I'm assuming i have it right?
