Help SF2 locked up

Jinksy

Lurker
Hi,

I have an unlocked (not rooted) SF2. Yesterday my handsets battery ran flat. When I plugged in and turned on the phone it failed to boot up past the Orange logo. Now I know there a similar threads that have been posted recently but my problem has a twist. To make things worse my laptop doesn't recognise the phone when in FTM mode so I cant use the ZTE update tool.

Is there ANYTHING I can do to get the phone working again. I don't care about losing data. I've only had it 7 weeks so I guess I can take it back to the Orange shop but I'd prefer to fix it myself.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Fr0d0,

I was hoping you'd reply. Seem to be the local SF2 guru.

I'm not sure if I'm being a little dense about this. I assume that the 'tool' is the 3rd DL down on wwwen.zte.com.cn/endata/mobile/UK/ right?

The instructions then tell me to place the '.bin' file onto the SD card. How do I do this if I cant get into the phone directly or via the laptop?
