Help SGA cannot upgrade to 2.3.6 using Kies

Hi,
Everytime i connect my SGA to my pc (with kies running), it tells me that a newer version of firmware is available and prompts me to download it. then i choose to download and install the firmware, it then proceeds to download the firmware. but as soon as the firmware download is complete, kies disconnects with the phone and re-connects without installing the upgrade. Then it goes again telling me that a newer firmware is available.

I currently have android 2.3.4 and i have USB debugging enabled.

From your name I presume you are from India. If yes then you can update to 2.3.6 via OTA. For that 'Settings'->'About Phone'->'Software Update'.
