SGN2 Battery Problem, Help

Hello, i just own a galaxy note 2 for not even a week so a was on a school trip to a city was playing games and listening music in the bus etc. well yeah so when i was almost home the battery died... So yeah i put it in a charger and then instead of just booting up Or showing green battery filling up it shows a grey battery with loading 'circle' in it that doesnt even move, then about 5sec. later the screen turns off, and so does the phone. Also normally when my note charges the notification light at left top corner turns red, well now it doenst.
I really dont know what to do my pc also doesnt see the device, i thing i need a new battery but thats impossible i own it like 6days and im really carefull with it.

Does somebody know what i have to do? thanks.

I would turn the phone off and plug it into the wall charger and let it sit for about an hour. Then try and turn the phone on and maybe you will be showing a low level of charge so then just leave it plugged in until fully charged. I am thinking you just ran the battery all the way down and in that case if the phone is on you may not get enough charge to both run the phone and charge the battery so it does neither.

Yes i think so, i send it back getting a new one, but still very strange... But when i got it it was send by post and it is winter and moisty so when i opened it it was moisty inside the note 2 package the batterty was little wet, the phone itself too.
