Hey all

Ive posted under the general section but prob.should post here.
Im trying to flash custom rom ( Darkys ) i downloaded Rom Manager Pro but found out because im on Froyo i need 2e recovery for it to work.

Having investigated further i also learnt that i can flash a kernel like cf root and get 2e recovery on that.

SO... after this i downloaded a cf root kernel from XDA. I downloaded SGS kernel flasher from the market ( i dont have access to a pc with Odin ) and i keep getting this error:

help me sort this out.. pretty please? :)

I wanted to but I have only posted once on xda so it wont let me post on developers threads... Dont want to attack the guy via pm either..im guessing he gets that often

I know you already said you do not have access to Odin. I encountered a similar problem as I cannot root using z4root/OCLF. I had to find a PC with ODIN and rooted there. I think ODIN solves a lot of rooting problems with newer firmware (2.2.1). So, I would really recommend going through the ODIN way to root. After that, everything becomes a breeze. ODIN is not a big file at all so maybe you can borrow a friend's PC? Or if you are using a Mac like me, dual boot to Windows.

Sorry, for now, there is no ODIN for Mac yet..
