Help sgs2 to macbook question

i tried connecting my sgs2, via usb, to my macbook but macbook won't detect my phone? i want to transfer files (music, apps, etc) to my phone from my macbook. how do i go about it?

Simplest is to go to settings/wireless & network/usb utilities.

Tap on the icon, (only then) connect the usb cable, tap on another icon, follow screen instruction. Do it right and phone memory acts like a thumbdrive, and like any thumbdrive, you can copy, create folders, move, past etc...
