Help SGS3 LCD and Digitizer Replacement

Hello,

I have a T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S3 Model SGH T999. Both its LCD and digitizer aren't working anymore ( cracked). I need to replace them both with new ones.

The cheapest ones, however, are for a different model (GT-i9300). It doesn't look any different from the inside or outside. However, I just want to know whether it can work if I replaced it on my phone or not, and why ?

I'm not completely sure if your board will fit into an i9300 body. I think it will, but I can't be sure. I do believe your board will fit into an i747 or your t999 body.

The boards are not all directly swappable. Some of them have parts in slightly different places. The problem is that the bodies (lcd/digitzer assemblies) are molded to fit the locations of those board components. Because of that, there may be a conflict with the board molding and the board itself.

I'll try to look into more and see if that board will fit.

OK, after searching a bit, it looks like it won't fit. I found another thread where a guy used a dremel to wear away places on the i9300 lcd assembly that conflicted with a i747 board.

So, the i9300 will not work. I haven't found proof yet, but I do believe a i747 assembly will work. I'll see if I can find anything about that.
