SGS3 or N4???

Tired of beng paying such a high price with Verizon I'm going to try ST. I am looking at two different phones, the SGS3 and the N4. I like the N4 because I know it'll always be up to date, but the SGS3 has some pretty cool features that Samsung added it seems but I'm not sure how long it'll be kept up to date. I currently have a Bionic that has Jelly Bean and the SGS3 is still on ICS.

Anyway, advice please? What would you choose? Why?

Thanks!

If you're going to try st, be aware that they don't sell AT&T sim cards on their site or in Walmart anymore.

They are almost on-par with each other. Both would make great phones :)
Remember that the Nexus 4 doesn't have an expandable microSD card slot so keep that in mind if you store lots of music/photos/videos on your phone.
The Nexus 4 has a 1.5GHz Quad-core Snapdragon S4 (correct me if I'm wrong) processor and the Galaxy S3 has a 1.5GHz dual-core (US version) and a 1.4GHz Quad Exynos (international version).

If you are going to use the Nexus 4 on Straight Talk, read this little "tips guide".

It'll come down to basically which one feels better in the hand to you, and if you want capacative buttons and a physical home button or on-screen buttons on the Nexus 4.

Hi folks, I know that this has probably been asked numerous times before but I need some help making my mind up. I currently have an HTC Sensation which I'm becoming increasingly disillusioned with. My current contract still has 6 months to run so I am looking at getting a replacement handset on a SIM free basis (my plan is at the end of the contract to go to a SIM only contract).

I don't want to spend a fortune on a handset, and while I would prefer something smaller, it appears that any Android handset with decent specs is quite large these days. As such my two main contenders are the Nexus 4 or the Galaxy S3.

Nexus 4 -
Good points - Looks good. Great specs/processor/RAM. Latest Android (already have the Nexus 7 tablet).
Bad points - built in battery. Mediocre memory storage and no ability to increase this.

SGS3 -
Good points - Good battery life. Removable battery. Micro SD card to increase memory.
Bad points - not sure on design. Older Android

Pricing in the UK is only about

Here's another recent thread:

The con for the Galaxy S3 is true, but it shouldn't be a deal breaker. It will get 4.2.2 in (rumored) May or June.
And if you REALLY want the next version of Android, the dev team for the Galaxy S3 is still strong so you can flash a ROM to have Android 4.3.

If you are comfortable with just 16GB of storage (which you seem to be, with your HTC) and no removable battery, the Nexus 4 will probably be fine for you.

I would personally choose the S3 because I need an expandable storage spot.

Honestly, the only reasons anyone for me should buy a Nexus 4 are:

1. 13GB memory is enough
2. The other phones are too expensive for you
3. You hate manufacturer overlays.

In your case I'd pick an SGS3.
