Shall we begin?

not everyone is suppose to get the update today, its released over a4 day period.
so i dont why every one thought that theyd get it today.
although its wierd that no one has gotten it, i believe its been delayed as sprint reps said.
but still,everyone shouldnt have gotten their hopes up and expected it today.

you're right, and also, it's incredibly disappointing that none of us got the update.
 
well the epics ota the last time wasn't until 9pm California time. so that is 12am in new york. not sure about this time but that is what time it started b4. of course we was able to find an update.zip before hand but havn't seen it this time.
 
Yeah just saw that.

As of 10AM here in USA eastern, still haven't gotten it on my phone. Hopefully later today.
 
well the official 2.2 will have a working front camera, all the keys on the keyboard will work correctly, and also, it should run smoother since its meant for our device and not the lower quality intercept.
once the official 2.2 is rooted than we can use root apps like wifi tether. and well also be able to improve the performace with things like ext4 and jit etc.
 
I got a message on my LG Optimus yesterday morning...around 0730 cst that I had a system update....took a few min to download...no other problems...I did notice today that I wasn't getting any email notifications and figured out that it had turned off "sync" with my email...just fyi!

me either. I am hoping by midnight tonight EST, it comes in for both of us! okay, all of us! regardless, it's so sad that the first person we hear about getting it is someone that really could care less ultimately, and is just a techie, who had his EVO being repaired and was given a loaner Transform from the store! TOO sad... I saw one other person in the Sprint thread had gotten it. That's it. So, until someone here announces it, I'm hesitant to believe the update is working properly and there are no delays. Fingers crossed! :D
 
So should I do a backup prior to getting this update? I'd hate to finally get 2.2 and then have my stuff get wiped. What's the best way to backup, and I guess even more basic, what would *need* backing up?
 
nothing yet as of 742 central time. I happen to be all stock over here no rooting or super user or anything of that nature.
