Shapewriter available if you miss swype

I take it you can't back it up unless you're rooted then? It's a real shame. I mean if they're advising everyone to download/update it before it's removed from the market they should have made it so it can be backed up.

is there any way to auto-space after a word like swype did? i just got shapewriter and really miss that feature. Oh and i thought it was really annoying to tell me my trial period ended when i was never told it was a trial to begin with (maybe i just didnt read the fine print?).

Swype is a beta and only allows you to use the trial version for 3 months that it has set up. If you want the next trial version, you have to sign up to be a beta tester on its website.

What do you mean? ShapeWriter does auto-space after words. It also auto-spaces after punctuation (one thing it does much better than Swype).

Shapewriter is definitely better IMO, when it comes to word precision and speed, ease of use, etc. But.. the caveat is shapwriter takes up slightly more ram than swype, and on memory deprived devices like my moment, hero/eris, g1, etc etc, it can be a problem, even if its only a 4-6mb difference.

However, on newer devices, n1, evo, incredible, galaxy s etc etc, this is no problem at all really. So in the long run, id say shapewriter wins, if its still available. Since they are taking it off market in two days, but hey, I have the apk backed up, in the cloud, on my sd, and on my pc. So I'll be alright.

Tapatalk. Samsung Moment. Yep.

Is there any way you can send me the apk via email? I have it on my current Evo now. But I am returning my Evo to get a new Evo because mine has some defects. I know by doing this, I will loose that apk file. I never done rooting of android phone and I am little skeptical about it. Would really appreciate if you can share it in some way if possible for you since you already have it backed up. Pleas advise.

Downloaded the swype beta. It is a bit more intuitive than the other 2 (though I do also dislike the vertical layout of word choices). For now, that's what I'm sticking with.

SlideIT Keyboard smokes shapewriter and swype... i downloaded and after using it for 30 sec i knew this was the one-

not even close.;)

Different strokes (?swypes?) for different folks, I guess. I find Swype much faster than SlideIt. I'm going to give Shapewriter Another try (it's not available last I looked on the ,arket, but can be found on forums like this one)
