Share App with ID or Name

Hey guys what's up...

I'm looking to give users a way to share an App along with an ID or name.

Is there any way we can have query strings in the Android Market which will be passed to our Apps when installing from there?

Basically what I'd like to do is to have someone's name be sent with the App whenever they share it, and once the user clicks the link with the name parameter from the market, to download the App and have their name displayed when launching the App for the first time.

HeyTell App have this sort of feature... Any help will be appreciated.

Hmm, what good would that do? I'm pretty sure that when you share an app, be it by mail, or by facebook, your name appears as the sharer of the app... What you want is that when someone downloads the app that you share, they will see your name again when the app starts saying "thank you for downloading the app that Mr.Joe shared to you"?

Thanks for your reply, and no this is not what I intend to do.

In fact, in the title I said "Share App with ID or Name". For simplicity, I explained it easily by telling you this, but in the future I intend to use it with a different approach.

One of my clients would want the user of the App I am developing for them, to be able to share the App with some sort of ID relating to them (ID's are being pulled from their server online). This way, whenever someone shares the App with someone else, and that else person uses the App, the person who shared the App will gain extra points on their website.

It's just a way to have their App get more downloads in a viral way if you know what I mean.
