I am using the L70 on MetroPCS and I rooted it with just a few clicks, Google for Towel Root download it follow the simple instructions and your rooted!

Firstly off-topic, secondly it's been over 6-8 months that root method has been discovered and almost everyone with the phone is rooted and cwm installed.
