Sharing media files between 2 Mxq boxes

I have two MXQ tv boxes in my home. The family room has three 2tb drives hooked to it containing movies and TV shows. How can I watch these using the box in the master bedroom over the home network? I can do it with my old WD Media Players, but cannot SE to find the correct app for the android tv box.

UPnP sharing between two Kodi devices is the best way to share a library across different boxes. You can share multiple libraries (one from each box) to all the other boxes on the same WiFi network.

I'm sure there must be some step-by-step 'how to guides online to help you.
