Shazam doesn't work the first time

I've been using Shazam since I had a windows mobile phone. It worked very well, and had a song tagged within 30 seconds.

Now on my samsung transform, I'll tag a song and it will say listening forever, and the only way to get it to successfully tag a song, I have to press back, and then tag again. It usually works the second time, but sometimes, the song is over by then.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Have you tried uninstalling then reinstalling the app? Have you tried a battery pull?

I have tried taking out the battery, but I haven't uninstalled the app. I'm gonna try that now and let you know if it works.
