ShootMe (Screen Grabber): An excellent sceen grabber; no root neccessary.

Ever wonder how people post those pictures of their home screens? Well they use what is known as a screen shot! Which is exactly what this application gives to you.

Straight away you'll notice it says "Root only!", but this is not completely the case, as it worked on my android device as well as many others unrooted. I did, however, occasionally get the "Failed to open, you need to be rooted!" error, but this was easily avoided by continuously launching the app until eventual success. Not to worry though, this error doesn't happen often enough to be annoying.

Now what makes this screen shot app unique is the way you take the screen shot. Instead of clicking a button or touching the screen, you must shake your device frantically until you hear the camera shutter noise. This noise indicates that the picture has been taken successfully, to which you can then view it in your photo gallery under a Shootme album.

The app works great, although I must admit, I'm not sure I would use this out in public. They make you shake the device pretty thoroughly and I'm quite sure there were a few times I looked like a total lunatic swinging my phone all around.

Regardless, the bottom line is that this app works, it gives great quality photos, saves them right to your gallery for easy viewing, and its just plain fun to use minus the confusion of needing to be rooted (you don't) and occasionally having to start the app a few times. Good app. Worth a try.
