Lurker
I am in the market for a new Android phone and need a bit of advise please. I will either be adding a phone to AT&T family plan or getting a new line from Sprint. I'm looking for input on which Android phone will best meet my needs. I prefer to have a physical keyboard and would like something that is easy to root and is not blocked from doing so. It is possible that I may wait until January sometime, but that's not firm. I had the Droid on Verizon a while back and liked it well but I do not want to go to Verizon at this time.

Thanks for any words of wisdom, I do appreciate it.

well if you are looking at sprint, the only android phones with keyboards are the samsung moment and the samsung epic, the epic being the newest. The moment will pretty much be phased out very soon, leaving only the epic.

Wow sitlet, how do you get on probation? Sorry for the intrusion but had to ask.

1. att cripples the android phones. the choices for android phone are not great. Captivate is your only good choice, but it dont have a keyboard.

2. Sprint will be more expensive for you.. since it is not part of a family plan. But the EPIC will be the best fit. all other phones with keyboards, I would not recommend. There is a rumor that a new HTC EVO Shift will be out in early January. it will have a keyboard.

^^^^ yes it is sprint only...

but the other carriers have the same phone available too.. just different name!!!!
Tmobile = G2

they all flavors of the HTC Desire Z

For a physical keyboard, go with Sprint and get the epic. It's a pretty sick phone.
