Root Short history of rooting trouble, need help!

I just downloaded the Voodoo Lag fix for Eclair: Galaxy S Vibrant T-Mobile (SGH-T959). I did everything the steps said to do. I heard the robot voice and the phone has been sitting at the start up screen with the Vibrant and Samsung logo on it. Is it suppose to stay there? If not how do i fix it :(

EDIT: The sound of the start up comes up but it is still at the black screen with the Vibrant and Samsung logo on it.

I think you should download latest version of firmware for vibrant and flash new firmware to solve this problem

I can't download the Rom Manager because i cant get into my phone. It is still frozen at the black screen with the logos on it... Is there still a way to do this?

hey i went to the link and i clicked on the downloads and none of the links seem to be working? Is there any other way for me to get the downloads?

EDIT: I tried going into download mode... wont lemme go there. Does the same thing as when i just power it up

EDIT: Got it going.. how long will the thing take to patch?

I had just recently used Odin3 v1.00, with the pit and tar file from here [GUIDE] How to Restore or Recover Your Samsung Vibrant | AndroidSPIN, after i had done EXACTLY what it said, (I even watched a video on how to do it, and i did it exactly the same) it said pass on the odin. But, on my phone, it just sits there with a black screen. The bottons on the bottom are lit up, but the screen is just sitting there black. Did i do something wrong? Heres the messages from ODIN

I need recommendation on what mods and rooting method i should use on my phone. My phone is a:
Samsung Galaxy S SGH-T959 T-mobile US.
Firmware 2.1-update1.
Baseband Version T959UVJFD.
Kernal Version: 2.6.29
Build Number: ECLAIR
Nothing on the phone has been touched, i had messed up with a rooting that ended badly, i used ODIN to re stock my phone into factory setting.
What i mainly want:
Any good rooting method.
Lag fix.
Anything else that is cool :)

Welcome to the forums, Delinquent! :)

First rule of rooting and root actions is to read up - and from the posts I've consolidated here, you've done that.

Second rule of rooting actions, you're kinda not on to yet - go slow, ensure your info before proceeding.

Our forums feature the best help available, and in order to get the most out of them, I've done you the favor of consolidating your discussions in one thread so folks can follow along with your overall issues and status.

So - it sounds like you were rooted, nearly bricked, recovered from that, and want to root again - is that correct?
