Shortcut Folder Concept & Question

MrCarder

Lurker
I'm still learning my way around android & I've been looking for an app that can do something like this.

I want a folder (or some kind of shortcut) app that can place apps I choose in a sort of "flowering" shortcut button. I've seen launchers that have a similar function on the home screen, but I can't seem to find an app that lets me do this anywhere - and as many times - as I want.

If it doesn't exist, I might take a crack and putting it together if anyone is interested.

Please let me know if this exists! I don't want to waste time on this if it is already out there.

It's similar to Nova Launcher's swipe shortcuts. The idea is you would hold the base icon & bring up a "flower" of 4+ shortcuts. Then you just drag your finger toward the app you want and release.

I threw together a quick concept since it's kind of a hard idea to get across. Let me know if/where I can find something like this in the Play Store.

This immediately made me think of CircleLauncher. Personally, I use SwipePad for this functionality. Wave Launcher is also similar, I believe.

Thanks for the info!

Nothing out there that isn't bundled with a launcher though?

Circle Launcher and Swipepad aren't exactly launchers. They won't replace your current launcher, they just run on top of it. Once you activate it (button for Circle Launcher, invisible swipe area for Swipepad) the shortcuts will overlay whatever screen you're looking at. You'll still have your current homescreen, dock, app menu, etc. that you currently have.

You can see Swipepad running on top of TouchWiz in this review:
